HEY THERE, SOPHIA HERE!
I started freelancing with one goal: To provide Catholic organizations access to an affordable, professional, and personable designer without compromising in any of those areas. I worked for my University Parish's Newman Center right after graduating college with my degree in Graphic Design. The position wasn't justifiable as a full-time job so I had to wear many hats, and they couldn't afford to pay me half of what I would've made in the corporate world. Nonetheless, I accepted the opportunity. It was there that I discovered my passion for bringing ministry work out of the dated era of clipart/comic sans and into an engaging, visual new world that makes a parishioner proud to hold onto a bulletin or navigate your ministry's website on a regular basis. Out of that blossomed a business model that didn't require the business manager to scrape together funds for a new employee to reach a modern audience.

There's no need to reinvent the wheel—thanks Mesopotamia! Physical bulletins and newsletters are still good tools for communicating what's happening in ministry life, but what if there was a better way to make them more visually appealing and worth holding onto?

I've worked in parish life, I know the constant crashing and calming periods of ministries and events. Christmas and Easter aren't anywhere close to the relaxed atmosphere of the summer months. So why shouldn't the work load reflect the liturgical season?
